UV digital printing

UV DIGITAL PRINTING

UV DIGITAL PRINTING

UV digital printing is one of the most advanced and uncompromising marking technologies in the world. Its secret lies in the use of specialized polymer inks that are cured immediately upon application using ultraviolet (UV) light. This process transforms the print into a durable, extremely resistant plastic that is permanently bonded to the substrate.

Our latest projects produced using UV digital printing

The greatest advantage of UV printing is the absence of any material limitations and the ability to print with white ink (as a base coat) and varnish (for a glossy or textured finish). This allows for the application of photo-quality graphics to nearly any flat surface—from plastics, wood, glass, and metal to leather and ceramics. It’s the ideal method for personalized premium gifts, nameplates, electronics enclosures, and control panels.

Advantages

UV DIGITAL PRINTING

Exclusive finish and 3D texture

We offer the option of selectively varnishing prints (matte or glossy), which gives them a luxurious look. We can also apply layers of ink on top of one another to create three-dimensional textures and raised areas that can be felt with your fingertips.

Printing on Dark Surfaces (Additional White Ink)

We have printing machines equipped with an additional white ink channel. This allows us to print in full color on black, transparent, or dark items—without worrying that the background will “absorb” the colors of your logo.

Rapid curing and durability

UV light cures the print in a fraction of a second. The finished product is immediately dry and extremely resistant to scratches, abrasion, moisture, and sunlight (the prints do not fade in the sun).

Full cost-effectiveness starting from 1 unit

Since this is a 100% digital technology, you don’t incur any production setup costs (such as plates, screens, or film). We print exactly as much as you need—the perfect solution for personalized awards, customized gifts, or small production runs.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What are the maximum print size and object height for UV printing?

The maximum print area on our flatbed machines is 70×50 cm. Height is also a very important factor—we can print on items up to 15 cm thick, which allows us to print on items such as finished boxes, thick notebooks, and device casings.

In what format should files be submitted for UV digital printing?

UV printing works perfectly with both vector graphics (.pdf, .cdr, .ai, .eps) and high-resolution raster graphics (.png, .tiff, .jpg – minimum 300 DPI). If your design requires the use of white (as a background for the graphics) or spot varnish, these elements should be prepared on separate vector layers in the file.

What are the benefits of using white ink in UV printing?

White serves as a base (underprint). If we’re printing on transparent acrylic or a black USB drive, applying a white underprint first ensures that the colors of the actual logo are perfectly saturated, vibrant, and opaque. Without a white underprint, the print on a transparent material would be semi-transparent, and on a dark material, it would be invisible.

What factors determine the cost of printing using this technology?

The price of UV printing depends mainly on the print area, the print run (number of items), and whether the design requires the use of additional channels (white or varnish). The number of colors in the main graphic itself (CMYK) does not affect the price—we print photos and simple, single-color logos at the same price.

Will I receive a mockup for approval before the order is processed?

Will I receive a preview for approval before the order is processed? Yes, this is our standard procedure to ensure 100% reliability. Before the machines are started up, our graphics department prepares a digital proof (preview) showing the layout and size of the graphic on the product. Production begins only after we receive your written approval.

Is it possible to get a sample print before placing a large order?

Yes. Since UV printing is a digital technology that does not require prepress work, producing a physical proof is entirely possible, quick, and inexpensive. Contact us during the inquiry stage, and we’ll prepare a paid product prototype for you before starting mass production.
